The management game is a fun learning and team- building experience in the setting of the Diemersfontein Estate
Designed and facilitated by Diemersfontein's owner David Sonnenberg who has a background in management training and assessment
We move around the estate, learn about some of the businesses that are run on Diemersfontein, and use materials and tools to achieve certain tasks, both indoors and outdoors.
There is a bit of time pressure and many opportunities for demonstration of the skills of strategic planning, delegation, lateral thinking. As most businesses we work in have scarce resources, there is an element of scarcity introduced, and of course financial controls and budgets raise their heads
It's not specially physically demanding but a bit of walking around the grounds is required, as is a tad of manual dexterity !
The game – which can be designed as a light-hearted or more in-depth process depending on the organisation's needs - taking up to three hours. To introduce a bit of reality the materials are customised for each client.
At its conclusion there is an opportunity to consider one's own and the team's approach and style. It could be a benefit to programme the game early on in the conference so the issues raised can be carried forward into the rest of the teambuilding experience
Designed by Diemersfontein's owner David Sonnenberg [David Sonnenberg] m The game – which can be designed as a light-hearted or more in-depth process depending on the organisation's needs – works around: teambuilding and levels of competency.
